Unlucky RTX 5080 buyer who received rocks made whole after month-long investigation — Reddit user shows off new tattoo to commemorate

After purchasing an Asus Tuf Gaming RTX 5080 from Best Buy, a Reddit user discovered rocks instead of the graphics card in the box. Following a month-long investigation, the user, u/GnarDead, finally received the $1,200 graphics card. The issue was resolved after tracking the package's weight change during transit, leading to a refund from Best Buy. As a gesture of goodwill, Best Buy also price-matched the original purchase price. To commemorate the experience, GnarDead got a tattoo of the Asus Tuf logo on a pile of rocks.
