Microsoft slaps Game Pass Ultimate with a 50% price hike — PC Game Pass is now almost 38% more expensive, with hardly any new benefits

Microsoft has increased the price of its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate by 50% to $29.99, citing the addition of more titles as the reason for the hike. Subscribers will now have access to over 400 titles, including offerings from Fortnite Crew and Ubisoft+ Classics. Ultimate subscribers can earn up to $100 per year and experience various benefits like increased value on selected titles and discounts on games. Xbox Cloud Gaming has exited beta, offering enhancements like 1440p resolution and shorter wait times for Ultimate subscribers. The Premium tier remains at $14.99, while the Essential tier, previously Core, is now priced at $9.99 with access to over 50 games and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
