Microsoft Gaming Copilot hits Windows in public beta — in-game AI overlay goes live for PC players

Microsoft has launched Gaming Copilot in public beta for Windows users, offering AI-driven in-game support through the Xbox Game Bar overlay. The feature leverages real-time game awareness and screen context to help players with achievements, builds, and quests without needing to switch screens. Unlike previous versions, Gaming Copilot operates at the system level within the Game Bar overlay, providing better compatibility with DirectX titles. Microsoft aims to enhance the gaming experience on Windows by integrating Copilot and updating the Xbox app to serve as a unified launcher for various gaming platforms. The assistant is available for players aged 18 and older in most regions, excluding mainland China.
