Some VMware perpetual license owners are unable to download security patches
Some VMware perpetual license holders are experiencing issues downloading security patches, leading to uncertainty about the security of their virtualization environments. Since Broadcom acquired VMware and shifted to subscription-based SKUs, organizations without support contracts are still supposed to receive zero-day security patches. However, some customers have reported being unable to access VMware patches from Broadcom's support portal. VMware customer service has informed affected users that they may have to wait up to 90 days before being able to download the necessary patches.
