Nvidia reportedly working on RTX 5050 with 9GB of VRAM on a 96-bit bus, featuring 28 Gbps GDDR7 modules — RTX 5060 with cut-down GB205 GPU also planned

Nvidia is facing the global component shortage, prompting the development of new GPUs like the RTX 5050 with 9GB of VRAM and 28 Gbps GDDR7 memory chips on a 96-bit bus. A potential RTX 5060 is also in the works, featuring a cut-down GB205 GPU. The RTX 5050's bandwidth is expected to increase by 5% compared to its predecessor. Nvidia may introduce 12GB variants of these GPUs with 3GB GDDR7 chips, but details on clock speeds are yet to be revealed. The company's decision to use the 96-bit interface harks back to the RTX 3050 from 2024.
