Estrada signs with the Dodgers
Mason Estrada, a star pitcher studying aerospace engineering at MIT, has signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers after being drafted in the seventh round of the MLB draft. Estrada, known for his 96 mph fastball, is taking a leave of absence from MIT to join the Dodgers' instructional camp in Arizona. Despite not directly applying his aerodynamic knowledge to pitching, Estrada credits his engineering mindset for helping him think through problems effectively. This season, he went 6-0 with a 2.21 ERA, making him the fifth MIT undergraduate selected in the baseball draft.
