This Valve Could Halve EV Fast-Charge Times

A new valve technology called Dectravalve coolant router has been developed to halve electric vehicle (EV) fast-charge times by keeping battery temperatures low during charging. This zonal cooling system can send temperature-regulating fluid to up to four zones on a battery, preventing hotspots and allowing for faster charging without compromising safety. By maintaining optimal battery temperature, the charging rate can remain high, potentially extending the battery's lifespan. This innovation in thermal management could significantly improve the efficiency and convenience of EV fast-charging processes.
