Google DeepMind’s new AI can help historians understand ancient Latin inscriptions

Aeneas cross-references text with a database of 150,000 inscriptions to offer parallels for further analysis. While Aeneas has shown promising results, its effectiveness on more obscure samples remains to be seen. The tool is now open-source and freely available for educational and academic use.
