AMD Zen 6 'Venice' ES chips break cover with up to 192 cores, 32 per CCD, in early stress test — Kenya, Congo, Nigeria platforms leaked
Engineering samples of AMD's upcoming EPYC Zen 6 datacenter CPUs, codenamed Venice, have been revealed with up to 192 cores, 32 per CCD, in early stress tests. The samples were tested on platforms codenamed Congo, Kenya, and Nigeria, showcasing different core counts and configurations. These chips are expected to use Zen 6 cores with higher-density CCDs compared to Zen 5, potentially housing up to 12 Zen 6 cores per CCD. Zen 6 is set to launch in 2027 with up to 256 cores, significant memory bandwidth improvements, and increased core counts for both Zen 6 and Zen 6c. AMD has not disclosed details about Zen 6 in consumer platforms yet.
