So far, only one-third of Americans have ever used AI for work
A recent AP-NORC poll revealed that 60% of US adults have used AI for information searches, while only 37% have utilized AI for work tasks. Younger Americans are more likely to adopt AI tools for various purposes, including brainstorming, work tasks, and companionship. The poll highlighted that AI companionship is the least popular application, with 16% of adults trying it, but this number rises to 25% among those under 30. Generational gaps in AI adoption were evident, with 74% of adults under 30 using AI for information searches compared to 60% of all adults.
