AI will consume all of IT by 2030—but not all IT jobs, Gartner says
By 2030, Gartner predicts that all work in IT departments will involve the use of AI, a significant shift from the current 81% of IT work that does not utilize AI. The analysts anticipate that by 2030, a substantial portion of IT tasks will be carried out by bots independently, with only 25% of work being done by humans. However, 75% of IT workloads are expected to be performed by humans with the assistance of AI. This transformation highlights the increasing integration of AI into IT operations, shaping the future of the industry.
