QIDI Q2 Combo review: Great high temp printer, but skip the box
The QIDI Q2 is a solid mid-sized 3D printer ideal for high-temperature filaments, boasting a nozzle that reaches 370°C and a heated chamber that hits 65°C. While the printer itself performs well with single-color projects, the bundled QIDI Box for multimaterial printing faces significant issues with filament path friction, hindering color swaps and multi-filament feeding. Despite efforts to improve functionality, the Box currently functions better as a filament dryer. Priced at $499 standalone or $649 as a combo, the QIDI Q2 is recommended for single-color high-temp projects, while alternatives like the Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo or Bambu Lab P1S Combo may be better for colorful ABS printing.
