Western Digital has introduced an 8TB version of its SN8100 PCIe 5.0 SSD, making it the fastest consumer SSD with increased storage capacity. The new 8TB variant offers impressive sequential read and write speeds of 14,900 MB/s and 13,200 MB/s, respectively. Despite slightly lower performance figures compared to the 4TB version, the endurance rating has significantly increased to 4,800 TBW. The drive is priced at $999.99 without a heatsink and $1049.99 with a heatsink, available for purchase on the Sandisk store.
