Valve brings back Steam Machine and Steam Controller — hands-on with Valve's new AMD-based living room gaming hardware

Valve introduces a new gaming PC called the Steam Machine, inspired by the success of the Steam Deck, featuring an AMD Zen 4 CPU and RDNA 3 GPU for a console-like experience in the living room. The system is designed for 4K gaming at 60 frames per second and relies on AMD's FSR upscaling. The hardware includes a massive heatsink for cooling, customizable light bar, and an e-ink front for displaying system stats. The Steam Machine comes in two storage options and supports expandable storage via microSD cards. Additionally, Valve unveils a new Steam Controller with unique features like TMR joysticks and capacitive grip sense, designed for use with various Steam-compatible devices. Pricing and release details are yet to be announced, but Valve aims for a "great value" for the Steam Machine.
