US Departments of Justice and Defense crush four massive botnets totaling 3,000,000 devices — botnets responsible for a combined 316,000 DDoS attacks globally

The US Departments of Justice and Defense, along with international partners, have dismantled four massive botnets comprising 3 million devices responsible for 316,000 DDoS attacks globally. The operation targeted networks named Aisuru, Kimwolf, JackSkid, and Mossad, seizing command-and-control servers and infrastructure. While no arrests have been reported, authorities are monitoring potential suspects, including a 15-year-old from Germany and a Canadian 22-year-old known as "Dort." The botnets, particularly Aisuru and Kimwolf, targeted various devices like routers, IP cameras, Android streaming devices, and more, with some attacks hitting US Department of Defense IP ranges.
