TSMC brings its most advanced chipmaking node to the US yet, to begin equipment installation for 3mn months ahead of schedule — Arizona fab slated for production in 2027

TSMC is accelerating its chip production plans in the US by starting equipment installation at its Arizona fab ahead of schedule. The company aims to begin mass production of chips using its N3 technology in 2027, a few quarters earlier than planned. TSMC is also working on building a new facility in Arizona to produce 2nm and 1.6nm-class chips. The CEO of TSMC highlighted the strong collaboration with US customers and government support in expediting these expansion efforts.
