The company had initially planned for the fab to focus on N6 and N7 fabrication technologies, but the shift to N4 and N5 capabilities could offer enhanced chip production. While the upgrade to N4 may require some redesigns due to the need for more EUV lithography tools, TSMC's experience with similar equipment could facilitate the transition. Construction at the site has seen delays, with heavy machinery being removed and suppliers notified of a pause in work until 2026, indicating a potential delay in equipping the facility.
