Thousands of customers imperiled after nation-state ransacks F5’s network

F5, a networking software maker, revealed a breach by a nation-state hacking group that had access to its network for an extended period. The hackers gained control over the segment used for updates for BIG IP, a widely used server appliance by major corporations. They obtained source code, customer configurations, and information on unpatched vulnerabilities, posing a significant threat to thousands of networks, including those of the US government and Fortune 500 companies.
