Reimagining sound and space

MIT's new Edward and Joyce Linde Music Building is a hub of activity, featuring rehearsal suites, performance spaces, and a makerspace where students work on circuits and instruments. The building's design focuses on acoustics, with three acoustically isolated zones catering to different types of music. The space also houses a new master's program in music technology, encouraging innovation and experimentation at the intersection of sound and technology. The building's commitment to sound isolation extends to its rehearsal and performance spaces, providing a conducive environment for musical exploration and creativity.
