Raspberry Pi flagship 500+ model now costs almost as much as a Mac Mini — firm Pi launches 3GB model to fight increasing DRAM prices

The Raspberry Pi flagship 500+ model is now priced similarly to the Mac Mini due to increasing DRAM prices. The Raspberry Pi 4 and 5 have seen price hikes of $25 for 4GB versions and $50 for 8GB models, with the 16GB Raspberry Pi 5 seeing a $100 increase. To combat these rising costs, a new 3GB Raspberry Pi 4 model has been introduced. While some models have not experienced price jumps, others like the 500+ unit now cost $410, almost as much as the Mac Mini.
