Pilot Partners with Tesla on Semi Charger Network for Fleets

Pilot Travel Centers has partnered with Tesla to install Semi Chargers for heavy-duty electric-vehicle truck charging. The Tesla charging stations will be constructed at select Pilot locations along major corridors in California, Georgia, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas, with construction starting in the first half of 2026. These chargers will leverage Tesla's V4 cabinet charging technology, offering up to 1.2 MW of power at each stall. The Tesla Semi powertrain features three independent motors and can recover the majority of its 500-mile range in a 30-minute charge session. The partnership aims to support the growing use of heavy-duty electrified trucks and shape the future of energy in the transportation industry.
