Phison has introduced the PS5037-E37T PCIe 5.0 SSD controller, boasting impressive speed and power efficiency, ideal for laptops and gaming handhelds. With sequential read speeds up to 14.7 GB/s and write speeds up to 13 GB/s, the controller consumes only 2.3W of power. Despite slightly lower random performance compared to its predecessor, the E37T offers a balanced mix of speed, efficiency, and affordability. Phison also announced upcoming 8TB SSDs powered by the E28 controller, promising high capacity and performance, though they may come with a premium price due to the global NAND shortage.
