A new PCIe AIC called the AMD B650 Southbridge Expansion Card allows for expanded connectivity on motherboards, including Intel models, by adding features comparable to higher-end X670 motherboards. The card offers four SATA III ports, two PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 header, providing excellent storage performance. Schematics and instructions for building the card are available for free, with a cost estimate of around $42.88 for replication. While not commercially available, manufacturing services are integrated through OSHWHub's sister company, JLCPCB, for custom hardware orders.
