Nvidia RTX Pro 6000D squeaks ahead of RTX 5090D in Geekbench OpenCL—China-tailored AI card still performs well despite regulatory woes

The Nvidia RTX Pro 6000D, a China-exclusive variant, outperformed the RTX 5090D V2 in Geekbench OpenCL with a score of 390,656 points, just below the RTX Pro 6000. Despite facing regulatory challenges and being banned by the Cyberspace Administration of China, the RTX 6000D showcased competitive performance. The 6000D has 14% less memory and bandwidth, along with 20% fewer CUDA cores compared to the RTX Pro 6000. While the benchmark results are promising, the card's launch was hindered by regulatory issues and competition from Chinese GPU manufacturers.
