Nvidia announces reference design for colossal gigawatt-scale Omniverse DSX data centers — single data center requires a nuclear reactor's worth of power generation

Nvidia unveiled the Omniverse DSX Blueprint, a reference design for gigawatt-scale AI data centers, designed for training and running large AI models. The DSX Blueprint integrates digital-twin simulation with real-world engineering data to help partners plan and optimize AI data centers efficiently. It offers two configurational frameworks, DSX Boost and DSX Flex, to enhance power management and tap into renewable energy sources. The design aims to enable new players to build AI factories using Nvidia hardware and maintain compatibility across different systems. Customers are encouraged to closely follow the reference design for optimal performance.
