A team of Minecraft players has been working for 5 years to recreate New York City at a 1:1 scale inside the game, with over 50,000 buildings completed so far. The Build The Earth project, led by MineFact, aims to recreate the entire planet in Minecraft and has gathered thousands of participants. The team focuses on accuracy, even rebuilding sections to match real-world details. Volunteers are welcome to join the effort, with basic building guidance provided, and progress has been significant in Lower Manhattan but other boroughs still need work.
