Microsoft says Windows 11 File Explorer will soon use less RAM when you search files

Microsoft is working on reducing RAM usage in Windows 11 File Explorer when searching for files by optimizing search performance. The update aims to eliminate duplicate file indexing operations, leading to faster searches and reduced system resource usage. Additionally, Microsoft is decluttering the context menu in File Explorer by moving less-used options to a separate sub-menu. These improvements are currently being tested and are expected to roll out in late January or February.
