Microsoft says buggy Samsung update trashes some Windows 11 PCs, and it’s a reminder to clean up OEM bloat

Microsoft has acknowledged that a faulty Samsung update has caused issues on some Windows 11 PCs, emphasizing the need to address OEM bloatware. The problem, which prevents access to the C: drive and causes app crashes, has been traced back to Samsung's own software rather than Windows updates. Specifically, the Galaxy Connect app is identified as the culprit, leading to permission failures and drive lockouts. Microsoft has removed the app from the Windows Store and advises users to reinstall Windows 11 from the official ISO to avoid similar problems with OEM software.
