Microsoft confirms Windows 11’s Quick Settings and right-click menu will load faster

Microsoft is working on improving the loading speed of Quick Settings and the right-click menu in Windows 11. The company aims to make Quick Settings load instantly, including buttons and sub-action pages. New features being tested include the ability to rearrange items by drag and drop and toggling dark mode directly from Quick Settings. Microsoft is also focusing on enhancing the overall Windows 11 experience, with plans to make various areas like the Start menu, taskbar, and notifications center load faster and improve design. Additionally, Microsoft has confirmed 18 major changes coming to Windows 11 in 2026, including reducing ads, improving the taskbar, and enhancing the Settings UI.
