Meta has created Meta Compute, an organization focused on expanding its computing infrastructure to consume gigawatts of power. The initiative, led by Santosh Janardhan and Daniel Gross, aims to build tens of gigawatts this decade and scale to hundreds over time. The organization will oversee system architecture, in-house silicon efforts, software stack, and data center operations. The move comes as Meta aims to meet the growing demand for advanced AI models that require significant computing power. Dina Powell McCormick will work with the organization to ensure investments align with company objectives.
