Intrepid modder builds an M4-powered 4K iMac G3 with 3D-printed parts — guts 90s all-in-one and replaces internals with a Mac mini and an OLED screen

Tinkerer Zac Builds has created an M4 iMac by revamping an old iMac G3 with modern parts, including a Mac mini and an OLED screen. He 3D-printed parts to reinforce the shell and replaced the original components with newer ones. Zac also added a dock with an SSD slot for extra storage and new speakers with a digital amplifier. The build includes new ports like Thunderbolt and USB-C, maintaining some original functionalities. The result is a fully functional M4 iMac G3 that combines nostalgia with modern usability.
