Intel unveils Crescent Island, an inference-only GPU with Xe3P architecture and 160GB of memory

Intel has unveiled Crescent Island, an inference-only GPU featuring 160GB of LPDDR5X memory and the Xe3P architecture, optimized for running inference workloads with low power consumption. The GPU, expected to launch next year, may include one large GPU with a 640-bit memory interface or two smaller GPUs with 320-bit interfaces, both supporting a variety of data types for inference tasks. Intel plans to sample the Crescent Island products in the second half of 2026, targeting air-cooled enterprise servers with a focus on power and cost optimization. The company aims to showcase more details on performance at upcoming industry events like the OCP conference and SC25 trade show.
