Intel's upcoming Core Ultra 9 mobile CPU, the 290HX Plus, has been spotted in PassMark benchmarks, showcasing impressive performance that outperforms most desktop counterparts. In single-threaded performance, the 290HX Plus nearly matches the flagship Core Ultra 9 285K. The mobile SKU scored 5,009 points in the single-core test, making it the highest for any x86 CPU on the site and 7.5% faster than its predecessor. In multi-core performance, the 290HX Plus netted 66,203 points, placing it at the top for mobile-only numbers and surpassing AMD's Ryzen 9 9955HX3D by 6.2%. The chip is expected to launch in March or April and features a 24-core/24-thread configuration with 8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores.
