Intel's CTO and AI chief, Sachin Katti, has left the company after just seven months to join OpenAI, where he will lead the development of the organization's compute infrastructure. Intel CEO Lip Bu-Tan will now oversee the AI and Advanced Technologies groups. Katti's departure comes shortly after another AI data center executive left Intel, and it follows Intel's recent restructuring efforts.
