Intel Foundry boss leaves for Qualcomm — Naga Chandrasekaran takes charge of the unit

Kevin O'Buckley, the head of Intel Foundry, has left for Qualcomm after just two years, with Naga Chandrasekaran taking over the unit. Chandrasekaran now oversees the development of advanced process technologies and Intel's global manufacturing network. He is responsible for creating next-generation silicon logic nodes, advanced packaging solutions, and test technologies. O'Buckley will lead Qualcomm's worldwide chip production activities, reporting directly to the company's executive vice president. The possibility of Intel Foundry producing Qualcomm's future designs remains uncertain.
