Intel has decided to keep its networking and communications (NEX) unit in-house instead of selling it, believing that retaining it will enhance integration and customer offerings. NEX develops processors for networking, edge, and infrastructure, along with software for traffic scheduling and security. Despite potential financial gains from selling NEX, Intel concluded that keeping it aligns better with its current strategy, especially after securing significant financing. The decision to keep NEX within Intel's structure was made after integrating it into the Client Computing Group and Data Center and AI segments.
