Intel, AMD, and MediaTek reportedly among TSMC's 2nm early adopters — company said to have 15 customers lined up for new process tech

TSMC has secured orders from around 15 customers for its N2 (2nm-class) manufacturing process, primarily from high-performance computing (HPC) processor developers. The N2 node is expected to be the most significant in terms of design over the next few years. While Apple traditionally adopts TSMC's leading-edge technologies first, AMD, MediaTek, and Intel are also gearing up to utilize the N2 process for their upcoming processors. TSMC is set to ramp up production with three N2-capable fabs in Taiwan and expedite the construction of an N2-capable Fab in Arizona.
