IEEE Brings Hands-On STEM Activities to India’s Rural Areas

IEEE has initiated hands-on STEM activities in rural areas of India by setting up electronics labs and hobby clubs for students. With financial support from IEEE SIGHT, three electronics hobby labs, including one at UHSS-Ushapur Higher Secondary School in Assam, have been established. This initiative aims to provide practical learning opportunities and promote interest in science and technology among students in underserved communities. Pallab Kr Gogoi, an RF systems engineer and Ph.D. scholar, is involved in implementing these programs to enhance STEM education in rural India.
