Due to U.S. export regulations, Galax has introduced a revised version of its flagship HoF graphics card, the RTX 5090D V2, which closely matches the performance of the original 5090D. Benchmarks show minimal performance differences between the two cards in various games and tests, with the V2 variant even outperforming the original when overclocked. The new V2 model features 24GB of GDDR7 memory and a 384-bit memory interface, resulting in a 25% reduction in memory performance compared to the RTX 5090. This move was made to comply with export regulations targeting AI capabilities. Galax has limited the HoF series to the Chinese market, with the 5090D V2 being the second in the series, boasting a robust power delivery system for overclocking.
