He initially tried Deskreen for screen sharing but found it lacking in quality and speed, so he switched to VNC for better performance. This setup allows him to use the tablet as an input device and repurpose an older device for reading and basic tasks. Alavi's project showcases a creative way to give new life to older tech devices, offering an alternative to purchasing a standalone ePaper monitor.
