Dell brings back XPS laptops — ditches the capacitive touch bar, adds 1Hz display option, and upgrades 14 and 16-inch models

Dell is reintroducing its XPS laptops with a redesigned chassis, ditching the capacitive touch bar and offering a 1Hz display option. The 14 and 16-inch models have been upgraded with Intel's Panther Lake chips, featuring up to 64GB of RAM and 4TB PCIe SSD storage. The new design includes a thinner CNC aluminum and glass chassis, a traditional function row, and a lattice-free keyboard. Dell has opted for Intel Arc integrated graphics over discrete options, and the laptops will feature Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The XPS 14 and 16 will be available starting at $2,049.99 and $2,199.99 respectively, with new configurations launching in February.
