Corsair fights back against RAM scammers and thieves with packaging shift — ditches iconic yellow boxes for transparent plastic and anti-tampering labels

Corsair has updated the packaging for its Vengeance DDR5 memory kits to combat scams and theft in retail. The new packaging features transparent plastic clamshells with anti-tampering labels for added security. This change is limited to two-module configurations, while other SKUs may still use the traditional yellow cardboard boxes with added security labels. The see-through packaging allows consumers to verify the product before opening, and the recycled plastic material offers electrostatic discharge protection. The redesign aims to benefit consumers and help retailers detect fraud in the face of increasing memory theft due to rising prices and shortages.
