Chinese enthusiast overclocks AMD's Ryzen 7 9800X3D to 7.33GHz on Colorful X870E Vulcan motherboard — New world record achieved using liquid nitrogen cooling

A Chinese enthusiast known as "Hero" has set a new world record by overclocking AMD's Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU to an impressive 7.33GHz using liquid nitrogen cooling. This achievement was made possible on the Colorful iGame X870E Vulcan OC V14 motherboard designed for overclocking. The overclocker used a high voltage of 1.688V, not practical for everyday use, and reached an uncore frequency of 2,399.2 MHz. The previous record was held by "Hicookie" at 7,313 MHz, showcasing the competitive nature of overclocking for enthusiasts. AMD is expected to unveil new X3D chips at CES, including the successor to the 9800X3D.
