China launches anti-dumping probe into U.S. analog chips used in PCs and routers

China has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into U.S.-made analog chips used in PCs and routers, alleging that American manufacturers have been selling these chips at lower prices, impacting the local market. The probe targets legacy process interface and gate-driver ICs at 40nm or larger. China claims that imports of these chips from the U.S. have increased while prices have dropped, harming domestic industry. The investigation is expected to conclude by September 13, 2026, with the possibility of provisional duties being imposed earlier. Additionally, China is conducting an "anti-discrimination" investigation into U.S. trade practices that may hinder Chinese chipmakers' competitiveness globally.
