Asus ROG and Xreal partner to deliver gaming-optimized AR glasses — 240 Hz Micro-LEDs with a 171-inch virtual viewing area

Asus has partnered with Xreal to introduce the ROG Xreal R1 augmented reality gaming glasses at CES 2026. These glasses feature a world-first 240 Hz Micro-OLED display with a 171-inch virtual viewing area, ideal for gaming and productivity tasks. The device utilizes a spatial coprocessor for on-display controls and motion blur reduction during gaming. It connects via USB-C and is compatible with PCs, smartphones, and tablets, as well as the ROG Ally handheld gaming PC. The optional ROG Control Dock allows connectivity to various devices, and the glasses include integrated speakers with Bose tuning and electrochromic lenses for automatic light adjustment. The ROG Xreal R1 is set to release in the first half of 2026, with pricing details yet to be revealed.
