ASUS reportedly planning to decrease RTX 5070 Ti supply in favor of the RTX 5080

ASUS is reportedly shifting its focus from the RTX 5070 Ti to the RTX 5080 due to ongoing memory shortages in the PC hardware industry. Industry sources suggest that ASUS plans to prioritize the RTX 5080 over the RTX 5070 Ti, limiting the supply of the latter. This decision is driven by the global DRAM shortage, with ASUS aiming to sell only a few mainstream RTX 5070 Ti models and eventually transitioning to the RTX 5080. The move is influenced by the VRAM allocation, as both cards have 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM, making the higher-end RTX 5080 more profitable in the current market conditions. ASUS has not officially confirmed these changes yet.
