ASRock's revamped AI Quickset WSL virtualization tool makes it easy to run Linux AI apps on Windows

ASRock has introduced the AI Quickset WSL tool, a revamped version of its AI deployment tool that simplifies running Linux AI applications on Windows machines with supported AMD or Intel GPUs. This tool leverages Microsoft's WSL virtual compatibility layer to enable the seamless deployment of Linux AI apps on Windows. Built on AMD's ROCm platform, the AI Quickset WSL automates the setup process for running Linux AI-based apps efficiently on specific AMD GPUs. The tool provides a user-friendly GUI for configuring and running various AI models, such as audio, image, text, and object translators and detectors. However, it requires high-end hardware, including Intel 12th Gen or newer CPUs, AMD Ryzen 5000 or newer CPUs, 64GB of memory, and ASRock's RX 7900 series or later graphics cards.
