AMD rockets past 35% market share in desktop PC market as Intel's share loss accelerates — AMD also hits 25% in laptops and nears 30% in crucial server market

AMD has seen significant growth in market share across desktop, laptop, and server CPU markets, reaching 35.4% of x86 CPU revenue share and 29.2% of all x86 processors shipped in Q4 2025. The company's success was driven by competitive desktop and mobile CPU offerings, while Intel faced challenges in production and product lineup. In desktop CPUs, AMD's market share climbed to 36.4%, with Intel's share declining to 63.6%. In the mobile CPU segment, AMD achieved a 26% unit share, marking a strong recovery. Additionally, AMD made gains in the server CPU market, reaching a 28.8% unit share and a record 41.3% revenue share. Intel, while still dominant in volume, is losing ground to AMD in premium segments.
