AMD launches Ryzen 5 9500F, claiming up to 24% faster than Ryzen 5 7500F in gaming — Zen 5 chip launches as a China-exclusive for now

AMD has introduced the Ryzen 5 9500F, a new chip in its Zen 5 family, initially available exclusively in China. The processor boasts a 6-core, 12-thread design with a 5 GHz boost clock and 32 MB of L3 cache. Benchmarks indicate the 9500F is around 15% faster on average than its predecessor, the Ryzen 5 7500F, and up to 24% faster in certain CPU-intensive games. Despite its initial pricing being similar to higher-spec'd models, like the Ryzen 5 9600X, a global launch may see a more competitive price point.
