AMD denies any knowledge of the fake Ryzen 5 7430U CPUs in Chuwi laptops and warns of potential legal action against entities mislabeling its products. Two Chuwi laptop models, CoreBook X and CoreBook Plus, were found to have older Ryzen 5 5500U processors instead of the advertised 7430U CPUs. Chuwi has initiated a recall of the affected products and is offering refunds to customers. Another laptop manufacturer, Nikear, may also be facing a similar issue with mislabeled CPUs, potentially pointing to a PCB manufacturer as the culprit behind the mislabeling.
